| "My husband,.....and I met Shelley Weichel about two years ago. We were about to paint our home and finish our basement when we received a flyer in the mail from Shelley that captured our attention. The message stated "before you renovate or decorate your home consult with Shelley free of charge". So we invited her to our home, and she gave us some very practical and cost-efficient tips on home decor, such as paint colour, furniture placement and accessories, that would reap us rewards when we wanted to sell.
We followed her advice and was so pleased with her non-intrusive manner, that we vowed to use her as our agent when we decided to sell our home.
Approximately one year after meeting Shelley, my husband and I considered purchasing a cottage. We consulted with Shelley, who gave us advice on the current cottage market and locations. However, admitting that her real estate expertise was not in the cottage country, she referred us to a colleague of hers.
The following year, my husband and I decided we wanted to sell our home and buy another home. Still very pleased with Shelley's professionalism and willingness to help, we contracted her to find us a home, which she did in less than 10 home visits. What impressed me with the process, was that Shelley kept asking me what I wanted in a home, filtering through the maze of choices, until she was able to find the perfect home for us. She would always say "I want you to be happy".
But the area in which Shelley excelled was in the selling of our home. She was able to sell our home on the same day it listed for 100 percent of the listing price. It would have been very difficult for my husband and I, with two small kids and full-time jobs to keep the house in "show" condition for a long period of time. So hearing the news of an Offer on the day it listed was like winning the lottery.
